“I just like to sit outside with you and listen to Mother Nature’s wonderful goodness”
~Pixie, age 6
She’s completely worn out, it was a gorgeous day, high of 73*. We cleaned out the crescent flower bed and moved the hay and leaves to the raised beds. The soil I planned to use was still frozen so no planting today, even the compost is still frozen solid. Instead we hauled brush and I did some trimming of damaged lilacs, dragged a few trees over to extend an existing bed which is now layered with some hay and chopped leaves. I promised her a picnic lunch today so we took our egg salad sandwiches down to the brook and ate there. I’m certain that Gram was with us today, I could smell her around me. She always did like egg salad.
Ok, supper is cooled, time to eat before the sleepy Pixie conks out for the night. I may go do a nekkid rain dance to insure we get rain!
oh, ok, maybe not nekkid…wouldn’t want to scare anyone…
